Fundraising for the Samaritans

Sally Aspinal has organised several events to entertain the village over the past year and has raised over £1,650 for the Samaritans at the same time, as well as raising money for the Village Hall.

Sally thanks everyone who came to one of the events in aid of our local branch of Samaritans. Just in January this year, the Brew Monday event raised a fantastic £175, and the Old School Disco raised a further £141. Thank you for your generosity in financial donations and cakes!

To round off recent fundraising for Samaritans, here is a breakdown of the monies raised:

• Mar 2024 Pub Quiz £600
• Oct 2024 Open Mic £244
• Oct 2024 Samarathon £280
• The Old Yard Coffee Shop collecting tin: £157
• Sale of Christmas cards £55
• Jan 2025 Brew Monday £175
• Jan 2025 Old School Disco £141

A grand total of £1,652

Thank you to everyone, especially Eliza and Sue, for organising the Old School Disco. Everyone thinks you have found your vocation as a DJ, Eliza!
