Parish Council meeting, 30 Jan 2024

The Parish Council met in the Village Hall on 30 January 2024 at 7 pm.

The Council agreed and signed the minutes of the previous meeting.

The Council accepted the retirement of Bridget Till as Clerk to the Council and expressed their gratitude for her decade of service. The Council agreed to the appointment of Maggie Dickenson as the new Clerk, to take over at the start of the next financial year in April.

The Council discussed the gritting of the village roads, particularly Church Street, during icy conditions.

The Council expressed their satisfaction with the action taken to deal with dangerous trees around the stone bridge but agreed that further work needed to be done.

The Council considered options for a footpath from the area of the stone bridge to the cricket field and agreed to discuss these with the Estate.

The next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, 30 April 2024, at 7 pm in the Village Hall

The meeting closed at 7.45 pm.
