January 2026 Diary

Welcome to the January 2026 Diary. You will find updates and further details on the online calendar at nunnington.net/calendar-months/.

It’s a quiet start to the year in the village, but at least the days are getting longer (although the cold could get stronger). January 19th may be Blue Monday, but there is much to look forward to, not least the Valentine’s Day Karaoke of 14 Feb (to be confirmed), the re-opening of the Courtyard café (in the Spring), and the return, possibly, of Strictly (in the Autumn).

And for those fixated on New Year’s Resolutions, heed the words of Bernadette Jiwa on her Substack post: “Instead of making a resolution that’s nearly impossible to stick to, set an intention instead”.
